New Resident Evil Movie Hits Digital on November 3

Fandango says Zach Cregger's film will be available to buy and rent digitally, while Netflix has added the first two Resident Evil films.

Zach Cregger's Resident Evil movie will be available for digital purchase and rental on November 3, according to Fandango. A physical Blu-ray edition is also planned for later, though no date has been given.

The film has also been confirmed to return to IMAX and other premium large format screens, per Fandango.

Separately, Netflix announced that Paul W.S. Anderson's Resident Evil and Resident Evil: Apocalypse are now available to stream on the service.

Cregger's entry in the series has already passed $400 million at the global box office, making it the most successful film in the franchise.

Netflix's multi-billion-dollar Pay-1 deal suggests the new film could eventually stream on the platform, though no agreement covering this title has been announced. Other entries, including Afterlife, Retribution, Extinction and The Final Chapter, along with the 2022 Resident Evil TV show, were already on Netflix before this week's additions.
