Wednesday Showrunners: Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega Will Share Scenes in Season 3
Miles Millar says Ryder's Tabitha will appear on screen with Ortega, while Eva Green joins the Netflix series as Ophelia in season 3.
Winona Ryder's Tabitha will appear on screen alongside Jenna Ortega's Wednesday in season 3 of "Wednesday," co-showrunner Miles Millar said in an interview with screenrant.com. Millar declined to say more about Tabitha beyond the fact that the character is part of the world.
The showrunners also confirmed that Eva Green will play Ophelia in the new season. Millar and co-showrunner Al Gough compared the process of building out the Addams family world to their earlier work on "Smallville."
Filming on season 3 wrapped in September, and post-production is now underway. Netflix is eyeing a return sometime in 2027, with no exact premiere date set.
The new season sends Wednesday to Paris. The season 2 finale aired in 2025, with Wednesday on a quest to find Enid. "Wednesday" has been on Netflix since 2022, with Ortega in the lead role.
Showrunners' earlier credits
Gough and Millar previously ran "Smallville," which is marking its 25th anniversary, and co-wrote Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice." Charles Addams created the original Addams family panels on which the franchise is based.
