Whisper of the Heart Concert Set for Seoul in December
Studio Ghibli officially supports the three-performance event at Lotte Concert Hall, with composer Yuji Nomi involved in the arrangements.
An official film concert for Whisper of the Heart, billed as the world's first, will be held in South Korea over three performances on December 30 and 31 at Lotte Concert Hall in Songpa District, Seoul, according to rbbtoday.com.
The project is officially supported by Studio Ghibli and pairs a full screening of the film with a live orchestral performance of its music.
Yuji Nomi, who composed the film's score, took part in arranging the music for the concert. Conductor Kazuki Wada will lead the orchestra.
Voice actress Yoko Honna, who voiced protagonist Shizuku, will appear as a vocalist and perform Country Road.
Whisper of the Heart was released in Japan in 1995 and in South Korea in 2007. It is based on Aoi Hiiragi's manga of the same name, with Hayao Miyazaki writing the script and storyboards and Yoshifumi Kondo directing.
