Anthropic opens Claude Duet preview to Pro and Max users in the US
The always-on personal agent, released October 21, requires a waitlist sign-up and shares usage limits with Claude Code and Cowork.
Anthropic released Claude Duet, an always-on personal AI agent, on October 21. The agent is in preview and limited to Claude Pro and Max subscribers in the US, according to Engadget.
Users in the US must join a waitlist on Anthropic's website to try Claude Duet. The form asks for a name, company, email address, phone type and a description of the work the user wants to delegate.
Anthropic also offers a standalone Claude Duet app on Android and iOS. The company says Duet will be included in its $20 per month Pro plan and up during the preview.
Claude Duet is not available to Team and Enterprise customers yet. During the preview, it shares usage limits with other Claude apps such as Claude Code and Cowork.
Anthropic says Duet checks connected accounts every few hours rather than nonstop.
Other labs already shipped personal agents
Anthropic's launch on October 21 came after SpaceXAI, Meta and OpenAI had already released personal agents. OpenAI recently added a $500 per month option on top of its $100 tier for its Pro plans.
