Apple unveils new Apple TV 4K with A19 chip, launches November 13 at $299
The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K adds hands-free voice control and a redesigned Siri Remote; Korean pricing is set at 449,000 won.
Apple has unveiled the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K, priced at $299 in the US and 449,000 won in Korea, with the device launching on November 13, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.
The new model runs on Apple's A19 chip, which the company says offers up to 50 percent higher CPU performance than the previous generation. It also supports hands-free voice control through a built-in microphone.
Apple is also shipping an improved Siri Remote with the set-top box. The remote is sold separately as well, at $59 in the US and 95,000 won in Korea, a price carried over from earlier listings.
Software support remains undefined
Apple has not officially guaranteed how many years of tvOS updates the new model will receive. Its past record offers some context: the Apple TV HD, launched in 2015, and the first-generation Apple TV 4K, launched in 2017, both received major updates up to tvOS 26 in 2025, roughly 10 and 8 years of support respectively.
Both of those older models also received a security patch in July and an update for new remote compatibility in October. tvOS 27, released in September, is limited to the 2021 second-generation Apple TV 4K and later models.
