Baemin Riders School wins two Korean architecture awards

The Hanam training facility, designed by Junglim Architecture and built by Bomi Construction, took a Korean Institute of Architects award and an AMP prize.

Baemin Riders School, the two-wheeler safety training centre operated by Baemin parent company Woowa Brothers, has won the Korean Institute of Architects award at the 49th Korean Institute of Architects Architecture Awards in 2026, and was also named a winner in the educational building category at the 2026 Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) awards, according to ZDNet Korea.

The Hanam facility has three floors above ground and a total floor area of 8,000 m², with every floor housed indoors. Its training halls include a simulated real-road environment, VR and AR equipment, and practical instruction on electric two-wheelers.

Junglim Architecture designed the building and Bomi Construction carried out the construction.

From outsourced course to its own campus

The school began in 2018 as an outsourced “professional rider training course”. In May 2021 it opened its own training space in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and last year it expanded into the Hanam site.

Cumulative graduates have approached 30,000 since in-house training began in May 2021, and the accident rate among graduates in 2024 was less than half the level of two years earlier.
