Huawei has launched the MatePad Air Z tablet in China, offering it in a standard edition and a lower-priced Enjoy Edition. All models share a 12-inch IPS LCD with a 2800 × 1840 px resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 144Hz refresh rate.
The standard edition can be configured with a PaperMatte display. The standard and Enjoy models run Huawei's Kirin T93SD chipset, while the PaperMatte version uses the Kirin T93S SoC. Every version is available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Cameras are led by a 50MP rear sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera. The standard edition includes an LED flash, but the Enjoy Edition does not. All versions carry a 10,100mAh battery; the standard edition supports 66W charging and the Enjoy Edition supports 40W charging.
The tablets ship with HarmonyOS 7 and support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. The MatePad Air Z Enjoy Edition starts at CNY 2,999 ($447), with a CNY 200 discount bringing the starting price to CNY 2,799 ($417). The standard edition starts at CNY 3,699 ($551), and the PaperMatte version is CNY 600 more.
