ICH says iPhone Duo orders lift Q4 foam supply past plan

The Korean materials firm says fourth-quarter supply for Apple's first foldable phone will more than double its plan, reaching about 2 billion won a month.

ICH, the advanced composite materials supplier, said its fourth-quarter supply volume for Apple's iPhone Duo is expected to more than double its original plan, reaching about 2 billion won per month. The company cited demand tied to the launch and early sales of Apple's first foldable smartphone, according to bloter.net.

The iPhone Duo was officially released on October 25, 2026, and initial stock sold out soon after preorders opened.

ICH supplies polyethylene (PE) foam used inside the iPhone Duo to absorb impact and improve durability at the fold.

The company also supplies cushioning polyurethane foam and electromagnetic-blocking gaskets for Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Z8 series, a business it held as of October 2026.

Industry estimates put Apple's foldable phone shipments at about 14 million units through next year.
