Klunix signs MOU to build Pohang AI data center operating environment

Klunix signed a memorandum of understanding with Neo AI Cloud to build an integrated operating environment for the Pohang AI Data Center, the company said on October 16. The project has a total budget of about 600 billion won and targets 40MW of capacity and about 10,000 next-generation Nvidia GPUs in its first phase.
Under the agreement, Klunix will use its NovaTier AI orchestration platform for GPU cluster resource management and integrated scheduling.
The Klunix deal was one of several announcements from Korean startups this week. Nuvinda signed a three-party agreement with Osaka University's Niguchi lab and Chungnam National University's N.E.E. lab on October 12 for joint motor research. The three parties will cooperate in seven areas, including ultra-high-torque, high-efficiency robot drive motor development and joint government R&D projects. Nuvinda, founded in 2025, develops high-torque direct drive motors, QDD actuators, frameless motors and in-wheel motors.
