Lenovo pushes hybrid AI infrastructure strategy in Korea, weighs fourth distributor
Lenovo says its 'Pocket to Data Center' strategy covers Motorola smartphones to Neptune liquid-cooled servers, as Korean AI adoption jumps to 74%.
Lenovo has outlined its “Pocket to Data Center” hybrid AI infrastructure strategy for the Korean market and said it is considering adding a fourth Korean distributor, according to datanet.co.kr. A Lenovo 360 Partner Summit is scheduled for November in Singapore.
The company currently works with three Korean distributors — Ousion Technology, C Platform and Daekyo CNS — and is weighing whether to add another. The strategy spans Motorola smartphones and PCs through ThinkEdge edge computing, ThinkAgile HCI, ThinkSystem servers and storage, Neptune liquid cooling and TruScale subscription services.
The push comes as Lenovo reports sharp growth in Korean AI uptake. In its “CIO Playbook 2026” survey of enterprise AI infrastructure priorities, 96% of Asia-Pacific companies said they plan to increase AI investment within a year, rising to 99% in Korea — the highest figure in the region. Korea's AI adoption rate climbed from about 10% last year to 74%, according to the survey.
Liquid cooling and partner programs
Lenovo's Neptune liquid-cooling solution is now in its sixth generation and can use coolant at up to 45°C. The company claims Neptune direct water cooling cuts server power consumption by about 40% versus air cooling, and says its Neptune-based ThinkSystem SR780a reached a PUE of 1.1. Lenovo has supplied about 8,500 liquid-cooled servers to Korean public institutions.
On the partner side, Lenovo runs the “Lenovo AI Innovator” program and an “AI Discovery Lab” for AI ISV partners. The company ranked 5th in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 this year, up from 8th in 2025.
