LG Uplus to triple long-term customer events to 24 in 2027

The telecom analyzed about 32,000 pieces of customer feedback before announcing the plan at Konjiam Resort on October 20.

LG Uplus will expand its long-term customer invitation program to 24 events in 2027, three times the number held this year, the company announced on October 20 at Konjiam Resort in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.

The 2027 customer benefit plan follows an analysis of about 32,000 pieces of customer feedback, according to digitaltoday.co.kr. Of the membership-related comments, 46.9% asked for special treatment for long-term use.

Next year's program adds more experiential events and more online programs so customers can take part regardless of where they live. Membership benefits will also be segmented by interest, including fashion and travel, with expanded global membership and brand partnership perks in Seongsu and Hannam.

This year LG Uplus ran eight experiential programs, including LEGOLAND invitations, a full-theater musical event, a marathon program and a Hwadam Forest invitation. Membership searches in August rose 1061% compared with January 2024, and membership benefit users increased by about 190,000 against last year's average.

On October 19, the company held its second long-term customer invitation event of the year at Hwadam Forest, following one in April. About 46,000 people applied, a competition ratio of 9.2 to 1.

The U+one app's monthly active users reached 6.09 million, up 17.8% from November last year.
