McDonald's Brings Back Pokemon Happy Meals on Nov. 10

Each meal includes one of 15 collectible Pokemon toys and two of 15 collectible cards, plus a QR code for a digital game.

McDonald's will bring Pokemon Happy Meals back to participating US restaurants on Nov. 10, the company announced. Each meal comes with one of 15 collectible Pokemon toys and two of 15 collectible Pokemon cards, according to CNET.

The toy lineup includes Bulbasaur, Charmander, Eevee, Espurr, Minccino, Munchlax, Pikachu, Piplup, Rowlet, Sobble, Sprigatito, Squirtle, Torchic, Umbreon and Weedle. The figurines are shaped like Happy Meal boxes with the Golden Arches as handles, and there are 15 different boxes, one for each Pokemon.

A QR code on the box opens a digital game in which the toys are hidden in a virtual classroom and playground. The promotion runs while supplies last.

Earlier Japan promotion drew scalpers

In August 2025, McDonald's Japan ran a similar Pokemon Happy Meal promotion and was swamped by scalpers buying meals for the cards and wasting the food. McDonald's Japan then limited purchases to three Happy Meals per group and handed out only Pokemon toys, not cards, with the meals, IGN reported.
