Musk's Lego Order Details Exposed in X Screenshot
Elon Musk shared a screenshot of his Lego Star Wars order placed via Grok, revealing order and payment details that other X users then used with Lego's chatbot.
Elon Musk posted on X on Sunday about Grok ordering Lego Star Wars sets, including a screenshot that showed his 10-digit Lego order number, purchase price, delivery and billing addresses, the last four digits of his credit card and the email address used for the order.
An X user named Enderman then posted screenshots showing interactions with Lego's customer service chatbot in which he used Musk's email and order number to attempt to cancel Musk's order. Musk replied within a couple of hours saying his order had not been canceled.
Another X user posted screenshots claiming to have used the same details with Lego's AI assistant Sophia to reopen the delivery, increase the order count to 400 sets and change the delivery address while using Musk's original payment method.
Lego declined to comment when WIRED asked to confirm whether such activity took place on Musk's Star Wars order.
Background
On Saturday, Musk suggested that Grok could make purchases online with a simple prompt, and that users could upload a picture of their credit card for the bot to search for deals and complete purchases. AI companies like Meta and OpenAI have also highlighted the utility of using their respective agents for shopping tasks. Visa has warned about fraud in agentic commerce, advising that bad actors were building legitimate-looking sites to fool AI agents into purchasing fake items, according to its blog. Visa observed a 25 percent increase in malicious bot-initiated transactions in the latter half of 2025, with a 40 percent jump in the US.
