OCEANO releases Hi3D V1.0 open weights for 3D shape generation

The model regenerates high-resolution shapes at up to 1,536³ resolution and requires an Nvidia GPU with Compute Capability 8.0 or higher.

OCEANO HK HOLDING has released the open weights and inference code of Hi3D V1.0, its 3D shape generation AI model, on Hugging Face and GitHub, according to pc.watch.impress.co.jp.

Hi3D V1.0 takes a coarse mesh together with a reference image of the same object and regenerates a high-resolution shape. It supports resolutions up to 1,536³ and runs 1 to 3 staged reconstruction passes depending on the target resolution. The coarse mesh can be supplied by the user or produced with an optional adapter for Hunyuan3D-2 mini.

The model outputs shape data only, with no textures, materials or vertex colors. OCEANO says its training data was expanded from about 500,000 to about 2 million curated 3D assets, and that Hi3D V1.0 scored highest on multi-view reproducibility and detail richness, with a 90% slice success rate.

Hardware requirements and licensing

Hi3D V1.0 requires an Nvidia GPU with Compute Capability 8.0 or higher, CUDA Toolkit 12.0–12.5, Linux and Python 3.10, and does not support CPU inference. Operation was verified only on an Nvidia H20 with 96GB of memory.

The model ships under the company's own Hi3D Open License Agreement Version 1.0. The license is royalty-free and permits commercial use, but products or services that embed Hi3D must notify OCEANO and apply for a separate written license within 60 days of first exceeding 200,000 monthly active users or 1 million dollars in monthly revenue. Commercial products embedding Hi3D must also display “Powered by Hi3D 1.0”, though merely using generated 3D data does not require the notice.

Quick answers

What are the hardware requirements for Hi3D V1.0?

An Nvidia GPU with Compute Capability 8.0 or higher, CUDA Toolkit 12.0–12.5, Linux and Python 3.10. CPU inference is not supported, and operation was verified only on an Nvidia H20 with 96GB of memory.

Can Hi3D V1.0 be used commercially?

Yes. The Hi3D Open License Agreement Version 1.0 is royalty-free and permits commercial use, but embedding the model in a product or service triggers notification and a separate written license once it passes 200,000 monthly active users or 1 million dollars in monthly revenue.

Does Hi3D V1.0 generate textures?

No. It outputs shape data only, with no textures, materials or vertex colors.
