OpenAI Unveils ChatGPT Spaces and Dots at Dev Day
OpenAI announced ChatGPT Spaces, Dots personal AI agents, and new work tools at Dev Day, including Slack and Teams integration.
OpenAI used its Dev Day event to roll out a set of work-related tools, headlined by ChatGPT Spaces, a shared hub where coworkers, ChatGPT and Dots personal AI agents can access shared information and organize uploaded and generated files.
Spaces will be available for Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, starting on the ChatGPT desktop app and web before expanding to mobile. A meeting plugin can take notes, generate summaries with action items, add them to a space, and deletes captured audio after notes are generated. That plugin will initially be available on the ChatGPT desktop app for macOS for Pro and Business plans, with Enterprise access to follow.
OpenAI says its Private Intelligence system helps businesses use frontier AI with greater confidence that their data is protected. ChatGPT will also be available on Slack and Microsoft Teams for Business and Enterprise plans, allowing users to mention @ChatGPT in channels, DMs and threads.
The company also announced Pages, a document type for generating text, charts, images and visualizations to share with colleagues for feedback. Collaborative slides that can be exported to PowerPoint and Google Slides will be available in the coming weeks, and shareable profiles for showcasing web apps and plugins are on the way.
