Pixel Watch users report sudden battery drain; Google points to support
Reddit users say Pixel Watch models now last hours instead of days, and Google's PixelCommunity account advised contacting the support desk without giving a cause.
Users on Reddit have reported that battery life on Google's Pixel Watch series has suddenly worsened, according to japan.cnet.com. One Pixel Watch 2 owner said a charge that used to last nearly 48 hours now lasts under 12 hours.
A user of the Pixel Watch 4 45mm model reported that usage that used to last 2 to 2.5 days now lasts less than 24 hours. That user said no new apps had been installed and that restarting and resetting the watch brought no improvement.
Google's official support account, PixelCommunity, responded by advising users to contact Pixel Watch support by phone or chat. The account did not address the cause of the drain or name a specific fix.
Not everyone in the thread is affected: some comments say their battery life has not changed. The reports do not establish how widespread the problem is, what is causing it, or whether it is linked to a particular software update.
