Reddit splits home feed into For You and Following tabs
The two feeds roll out globally over the next few weeks, and Reddit remembers the last tab used as the default.
Reddit is splitting its home feed into two tabs, For You and Following, with the change rolling out globally over the next few weeks, the company announced on October 28, 2026.
The For You tab combines posts from communities a user has joined with personalized recommendations. The Following tab shows only posts from communities the user has joined. Users can switch between the two from the home screen, and Reddit remembers the last feed used as the default the next time the app is opened.
The split brings Reddit's home feed closer to the pattern used by TikTok, X and Threads, which already separate recommended content from accounts or communities a user follows.
Reddit did not specify whether the change is limited to its mobile apps or also extends to the web version. The company has not given a more precise rollout schedule beyond the coming weeks.
