The claims website for Sony's $7.85 million PlayStation antitrust settlement is now live, according to CNET. Eligible US PlayStation customers who bought digital games on the PlayStation Store between April 1, 2019, and December 31, 2023 can file a claim ahead of a final approval hearing set for October 15.
Compensation will be paid out as PlayStation Network wallet credit once the final approval hearing concludes. Customers whose PlayStation Network accounts have been deactivated can instead receive cash payments by emailing their purchase information to info@PSNDigitalGamesSettlement.com.
Up to 25% of the $7.85 million settlement fund will cover attorneys' fees, taxes, and administrative costs.
Background
The class-action lawsuit, Caccuri v. Sony Interactive Entertainment, alleged Sony illegally locked PlayStation owners out of buying digital games from other stores by discontinuing game-specific vouchers, forcing purchases through the PlayStation Store at inflated prices. The lawsuit was initially settled in 2024, but the settlement was rejected twice during the approval process, most recently in July 2025, when the presiding judge said the proposed plan did not provide an estimated recovery or a range of potential recovery for class members. The approval process was reinitiated in April, and the option to opt out closed on July 2. Sony has denied any wrongdoing, and the court has not decided whether the company violated any laws.
