Rime, PokeBot, Hume AI and Nace AI roll out new AI models and APIs

The launches landed on November 2-3, 2026, with Rime claiming Prism answers in about 0.57 seconds and Canva saying Brush cuts editing time by up to 69%.

Rime released Prism, a speech-to-speech voice AI model that analyses the user's voice directly instead of converting speech to text and back, according to aitimes.com. PokeBot unveiled RoboAPI, which lets users control compatible robots with natural-language commands through an API, and Hume AI launched the Audio Decision API, which answers user-specified questions about audio with probabilities without converting speech to text.

Rime said Prism begins responding in about 0.57 seconds, supports calling external tools mid-conversation and can be fine-tuned on a company's real call data. The model currently supports English and is offered via API and SDK, aimed at customer support and phone-task automation.

PokeBot's RoboAPI is built on its Poke-Aurora world-action model and requires no task-specific data collection or additional training. It is offered free as a technical preview, and the company said experiments with it were also run at external research facilities in the US, China and Singapore.

Hume AI said its Audio Decision API scored an average of 82% on ten voice evaluation benchmarks with 0.23-second latency. It is available as a demo with API access requests.

Design and local models

Canva unveiled Brush, which it describes as its first vision-language model for design, editing existing designs from natural-language commands while keeping the editable structure. Canva said Brush is up to 69% faster at editing and 46% cheaper per task than its existing design agent, and it is available to some Canva Pro subscribers. Canva first announced Brush in a post dated October 29, 2026.

Nace AI released the weights of Drex Max v1, a 27-billion-parameter multimodal decision model supporting up to 262,144 tokens of context, in an MLX-based version for Apple Silicon Macs; the 4-bit quantized model runs on devices with 24GB or more of memory. Unsloth released a Browser Use feature that lets local AI models on a personal computer open web pages, click buttons, fill in forms and read PDFs, requiring user approval for major actions such as logging in, submitting forms, purchases and file downloads, with support for macOS, Windows and Linux.
