Ripple and Privy Launch XRP Ledger Embedded Wallet for Developers
The service lets developers embed an XRP Ledger wallet into apps without building wallet infrastructure, supporting XRP and RLUSD.
Ripple and Privy, a subsidiary of payment company Stripe, announced an embedded wallet service built on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). According to The Block, the two companies are adding XRP Ledger support to Privy's developer platform.
Developers can embed an XRP Ledger wallet directly into their apps without building wallet infrastructure themselves. The service covers wallet creation, management and transaction signing.
Supported assets include XRP, Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD and other assets issued on the network. Because the wallet works inside the app, users do not need to connect a separate crypto wallet.
Users can also export their private key and seed phrase to move their wallet to another service.
Stripe acquired Privy last year, and Privy has continued to operate independently after the acquisition.
