Samsung SDS to launch Vera Rubin GPU service in March
Samsung SDS says it expects to be the first in Asia to adopt Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin architecture for a GPU service.
Samsung SDS said it will launch a GPU service based on Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin architecture in March next year, and expects to be the first in Asia to adopt it, according to techm.kr.
The company also plans to begin providing Nvidia B300 GPU-based services from the end of this year, following the Ministry of Science and ICT's selection of GPU build and operation providers.
The announcement came alongside Samsung SDS's third-quarter results on October 29, 2026. The company reported operating profit of 241 billion won, up 3.7% year on year, and revenue of 3.7725 trillion won, up 11.2% year on year.
AX-related revenue more than doubled year on year in the third quarter, and Samsung SDS expects its AX business revenue to more than double for the full year compared with 2025. Global AI service revenue was not reflected in the third-quarter results because of timing differences in contracts and settlement, and will be booked in the fourth quarter; including that deferred revenue, third-quarter AX revenue would have risen more than 40% from the previous quarter, the company said.
Samsung SDS plans to expand supply of its Brity Works AI collaboration solution to central government ministries, including through the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's intelligent work platform project. The company said it is pursuing AI infrastructure through three models: CAPEX, equity investment and enterprise DBO. It declined to disclose the size of its AI infrastructure investments or specific expected effects.
