Snap tops 30 million paid subscribers across Snapchat+, Lens+

Snap said paid subscriptions passed 30 million in Q3 2026, though daily active users of 495 million and ad revenue fell short of estimates.

Snap has surpassed 30 million paid subscribers across Snapchat+, Memories Storage and Lens+, the company said in its third-quarter 2026 earnings release, according to TechCrunch. The figure covers all of Snap's paid tiers combined.

Snapchat+ was launched in 2022 and costs $3.99 per month for exclusive and pre-release features. Snap's other paid options include Lens+ at $8.99 per month and Snapchat+ Platinum at $15.99 per month.

The subscription milestone came alongside weaker-than-expected audience and ad numbers. Snap reported 495 million daily active users for the quarter, short of analysts' expectations of 499 million, and its shares fell 12% after the company missed ad revenue and user growth estimates.

CEO Evan Spiegel said in an investor letter that AI-powered features helped Lens+ exceed expectations, and noted that paid subscribers remain a small share of the monthly community.

Subscription growth vs. ad business

In February 2026, Snap reported crossing the 25 million paid subscriber mark. The company launched Snapchat+ in 2022, and a year before this report it introduced a limit on free storage for Memories, requiring $1.99 per month for additional storage or a Snapchat+ subscription to retain Memories.
