VOLTMIND launches AI Locker on-premise document device

VOLTMIND released AI Locker, an on-premise AI document management device, on November 4, 2026. The device analyzes, searches and summarizes documents without sending them to an external Cloud, according to gamebusiness.jp.

AI Locker drafts document names, types, dates, storage locations and summaries, which a person confirms before registration. Its suggestions carry a confidence level so that low-confidence items can be reviewed first. The system handles Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, scanned paper and smartphone photos via OCR, and video via image analysis plus audio transcription. VOLTMIND notes that handwritten characters may not be readable.

Users can search in a chat format, for example asking for last year's contract with a given company, and the device shows the supporting documents. Viewing scope can be set per user, and documents without permission do not appear in lists or search results. Login uses a password plus an authenticator app for two-factor authentication, and operation logs are recorded in a tamper-detectable form.

The main unit measures 5 cm high, 15 cm wide and 15 cm deep and ships with an external disk. It emits its own dedicated Wi-Fi, so no office Network work is needed. The AI model and document management environment come preinstalled, and VOLTMIND performs the initial setup.

AI Locker is sold as a one-time purchase at a regular price of 5 million yen excluding tax, with the first 50 units offered at 3.2 million yen excluding tax. Maintenance plans are priced at none, 50,000 yen per month or 100,000 yen per month, excluding tax. Installation takes about Two Weeks from order, and a free one-week online demo is available. VOLTMIND said it has filed patents for Three related technologies and is targeting medical, financial, professional, manufacturing and municipal organizations that cannot send documents to Cloud AI.
