Sony unveils Stranger Things edition of MDR-3R wired headphones
The limited edition swaps the standard model's blue and orange cushions for red and black, and costs $79 / £59.
Sony has announced a Stranger Things edition of its MDR-3R wired headphones, priced at $79 / £59. The standard MDR-3R starts at $59 / £49, according to gamesradar.com.
The themed version is a limited edition with red cushions and comes with an extra black set in the box, replacing the standard model's blue and orange cushion options. A Stranger Things logo sits on top of the headband.
Internally, the MDR-3R keeps the same hardware: a USB-C connection and an inline remote with an integrated microphone. Sony says the sound profile stays close to the original MDR-3 design.
The MDR-3R is not yet live on Sony's own site, though the company is taking notifications from customers interested in the model.
Timed to Stranger Things Day
Sony's reveal lands on Stranger Things Day, which the gamesradar.com article places on its publication date in 2026.
