Sony Tech Meets VTubers at Omihachiman Tourism Event
Ainz organized the October 24, 2026 event with Sony Marketing, using Locatone and mocopi for tours and one-on-one VTuber talks in Shiga.
A tourism event featuring VTubers was held in Omihachiman, Shiga Prefecture, on October 24, 2026, according to av.watch.impress.co.jp. The event centered on a talk show and one-on-one conversations with the VTubers Shirayuki Mishiro and Sumi.
Ainz, a local printing company that marks its 150th anniversary next year, organized the event, with Sony Marketing as co-organizer. Sony Marketing supported it with its location-linked audio guide service Locatone and its motion tracker mocopi.
The Locatone audio guide tour, called the Omihachiman and Azuchi Sound Trip, covers 17 spots in the Omihachiman area and 11 spots in the Azuchi area. The guide tour is free through the app and has no fixed end date yet.
According to av.watch.impress.co.jp, the one-on-one talks used Sony's spatial reality display, which was also set up at the Hakounkan hall for virtual sightseeing.
Sony Marketing said it chose the VTubers for their fit with the project, citing Shirayuki Mishiro's suitability for a voice guide and her Japanese aesthetic, and Sumi's travel content and relaxed style.
