Vuix Technology Demos LiDAR Traffic Monitoring at ITS Congress
The company presented its Lookout edge-based monitoring solution at the 2026 Gangneung ITS World Congress and sought partnerships with IT infrastructure firms.
Vuix Technology presented its real-time spatial intelligence technology and intelligent transport system (ITS) use cases at the 2026 Gangneung ITS World Congress, the company said. At its exhibition booth, it demonstrated Lookout, an edge-based traffic monitoring solution that identifies and tracks vehicles and pedestrians and detects stopped vehicles, wrong-way driving and pedestrian intrusion.
The company also showed its LiDAR and AI-based road object detection and traffic monitoring architecture at the event, according to datanet.co.kr. General manager Lee Yu-geon explained Cooperative Perception technology, which links vehicle and road infrastructure data to detect road hazards such as black ice and hydroplaning.
At the main conference, CEO Kim Jae-kwang gave a presentation on upgrading ITS through real-time LiDAR-based spatial intelligence. On the 21st, he presented verification results on data processing speed and accuracy for a LiDAR AI system deployed in an urban environment.
Vuix Technology said it completed a demonstration with the Seoul Facilities Corporation applying its LiDAR AI system at the Guryong Underpass in Seoul, collecting and analyzing traffic risk data 24 hours a day. The company added that it discussed spatial data integration and intelligent monitoring system partnerships with domestic and overseas IT infrastructure companies at the congress.
The 2026 Gangneung ITS World Congress was held at Olympic Park in Gangneung, with about 108 organizations from roughly 90 countries taking part. In October 2025, the company said it was expanding its spatial data analysis technology from road traffic into port and logistics infrastructure.
