Technics unveils EAH-A1000 with magnetic fluid drivers
Technics announced the EAH-A1000 over-ear noise cancelling headphones, its first over-ear model with 40 mm magnetic fluid drivers. Price and release date are still unknown.
Technics has announced the EAH-A1000, a flagship pair of over-ear adaptive noise cancelling headphones. The company says the new model is its first over-ear headphone to use 40 mm magnetic fluid drivers.
The EAH-A1000 also carry SST edge surround sound technology, the same approach Technics uses in some of its speakers. For noise cancelling, each side of the headphones is fitted with three feed-forward microphones and one feedback microphone.
On the audio side, the headphones support LDAC and lossless listening over USB Audio. They also offer multipoint connectivity across up to three devices.
Technics claims battery life can reach up to 45 hours of continuous playback, though it did not specify whether that figure applies with noise cancelling switched on.
The company has not shared a price or availability date for the EAH-A1000. Engadget reported the announcement.
