Thales unveils Sentinel Envelope Plus to harden apps against AI analysis

The paid add-on to the Sentinel platform protects compiled applications without source-code edits, according to datanet.co.kr.

Thales has announced Sentinel Envelope Plus, an enhanced version of its Sentinel Envelope software protection solution, offered as a paid add-on to the Sentinel platform, according to datanet.co.kr.

The company said the product lets developers apply multi-layer protection to applications without editing source code or setting up a special compile environment. It can selectively transform and recompile designated security-sensitive areas of an application to defend against decompilation, tampering and runtime inspection.

Sentinel Envelope Plus also provides optional licensing control that can be integrated without source code changes.

In an internal Thales test, AI analysis tools identified 8 of 10 vulnerabilities in a normal application but found none in one protected by Sentinel Envelope Plus. The AI agent consumed 970 times the tokens of a baseline attempt and was advised to stop analysis after 7 hours.

Damien Bullot, Vice President of Software Monetization at Thales, is cited in the announcement.
