TikTok US Venture Seeks 4GW of Computing Power by Early 2030s

TikTok USDS is reportedly exploring large-scale computing infrastructure deals, even as TikTok says Oracle remains its main cloud provider, CNBC reports.

TikTok USDS, the joint venture that runs TikTok's US business, is exploring ways to secure large-scale computing capacity over the long term, with the aim of reaching about 4 gigawatts by the early 2030s, according to multiple people familiar with the discussions cited by CNBC.

TikTok said its US service currently runs primarily on Oracle cloud infrastructure, and a company spokesperson said Oracle will continue to be its main cloud infrastructure provider.

The company's job postings include several machine-learning roles, one of which describes launching a leading B2B AI product for large-scale model inference and creative automation.

On October 23, 2026, CNBC reported that the US joint venture was exploring options for large-scale computing infrastructure. TikTok USDS was set up in 2026 to separate TikTok's US business from Chinese parent ByteDance under a US presidential executive order.

Silver Lake, Oracle and MGX each hold 15% stakes in TikTok USDS, with Dell Family Office also an investor, while ByteDance retained 19.9%. In January 2026, TikTok's US entity said it would retrain, test and update its recommendation algorithm using US user data and protect it in Oracle's US cloud environment.
