TMAP Mobility adds real-time road closure lines to its map
The feature marks marathon, festival, protest and accident closures as red dotted lines and removes those roads from route searches.
TMAP Mobility announced on November 1, 2026, that it has introduced a real-time restricted zone line display feature that shows closed road sections as red dotted lines on the TMAP map, according to inews24.com.
The feature covers closure zones caused by marathons, festivals, protests and traffic accidents. It is built on Map Link technology, which divides roads into fine-grained segments.
Closed sections are excluded from navigation route searches, and the display is updated when a closure is lifted. Closure schedules are set in advance from government offices, police and event organizers, then checked 24 hours a day via CCTV.
On the day of the announcement, during the JTBC Seoul Marathon, TMAP corrected closure information after CCTV showed that entering Gangbyeonbuk-ro from Yanghwa-ro 3-gil in Mapo-gu was not possible.
