Unet expands Tarantula AI Data Platform supply
Unet is expanding supply of its Tarantula AI Data Platform, which links corporate databases, documents and work systems to AI.
Unet announced on October 14, 2026 that it is expanding supply of its Tarantula AI Data Platform, which connects corporate databases, documents and work systems to AI, according to datanet.co.kr.
The company said it will focus on providing the data environment rather than developing AI agents or services itself. In cooperation with AI agent and service development partners, Unet plans to support the entire AI service construction process — requirements definition, data connection and design, development, testing and operation.
The platform connects databases, data lakes and lakehouses, vector search, AI models, APIs and enterprise work systems. It also supports integration of open interfaces such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) so AI agents can access data and tools in a standardized way.
Unet said the platform can implement AI services on-premise without exporting data externally, which it said suits the finance and public sectors with strict regulations. The lakehouse is based on the open table format Iceberg and can link with cloud services such as AWS and Snowflake for hybrid environments.
The open-source-based structure lowers total cost of ownership compared to foreign commercial solutions, the company said. Unet is widening references centered on finance, public and large enterprise customers and plans to expand overseas, including Japan. CEO Kim Ju-seop leads the company.
Earlier Japan entry and AI tuning work
In July 2025, Unet launched Tarantuner and entered the Japanese market by signing an exclusive distributorship contract with a local PostgreSQL specialist company. The company has also been pursuing product advancement including an AI tuning agent.
