UPSIDER launches beta MCP server for corporate card

The MCP server is limited to selected client companies for now, with accounting tasks handled through natural-language chat.

UPSIDER, Inc. said on October 27 that it has begun offering a beta version of an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for its corporate card. The server is initially available to a limited group of client companies, according to ascii.jp.

MCP is an open standard for connecting AI agents with external systems. With the UPSIDER server, accounting work can be completed through natural-language chat instead of downloading CSV files or handling tasks manually in an admin screen.

The main functions include viewing, aggregating and analyzing card transaction statements, uploading invoice and receipt files as supporting documents, and linking them to target payments. The server draws on real-time authorization-based data, so chat instructions can be used to check spending before monthly closing, extract payments that lack attached documents, and aggregate or compare figures by period or department.

UPSIDER said it will expand features based on usage and feedback before gradually rolling the server out to all client companies.

If external systems such as internal approval or workflow tools support the same standard, the AI agent can cross-check approved data against card payment data, including detecting duplicate subscriptions and checking payments against internal rules.
