Tipster Digital Chat Station said the vivo X500 Ultra is still on track to launch, expected around next March or April, according to gsmarena.com. In a reply on their Weibo post, the tipster said the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
Digital Chat Station also said the X500 Ultra may be the only Ultra phone in its category, a note that follows the uncertain status of rival models. vivo is expected to launch the device internationally after its China debut.
The timeframe is consistent with earlier guidance: in September, vivo's VP of Product confirmed the X500 Ultra would arrive next year in March or April in China. The same executive said the X500 Ultra will offer a larger gap in camera performance than the X500 Pro Max.
