Apple Music 7.0 for Android arrives with new design
The update is now available through the Play Store and brings a blue accent color and a redesigned artist page.
Apple Music 7.0 for Android has rolled out through the Play Store after about a month of beta testing. The update brings a Liquid Glass-style redesign to the app.
The app icon now shows a black or white music note depending on the device theme, replacing the red background, and the accent color across the app is now blue. The update adds a floating bottom bar with slight translucency, and the mini-player is no longer docked to that bar. Version 7.0 also introduces an edge-to-edge design for Android's system status and navigation bars.
In other parts of the app, top bars place the page title and overflow menu on the same line, with three-dot icons in circular containers instead of red. The Library tab moves Edit Pins and Edit Categories into the three-dot menu, artist pages are redesigned with backgrounds themed on the cover image and a prominent play button, and the Settings page has improved grouping.
The version number aligns with iOS 27 under a versioning system matched to Apple's iOS releases. Google Play lists the update for Android users.
