Apex Legends Season 31 Cipher Adds Crypto Rework, Akimbo Wingman

Respawn Entertainment has detailed the changes coming to Apex Legends in Season 31, titled Cipher, ahead of its launch on November 3 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. The update includes a rework for Crypto, buffs for Revenant and Lifeline, a new Akimbo Wingman option and Strongholds, according to gamerant.com.

Crypto's Surveillance Drone gains a Sentry Mode that automatically tags enemies in its line of sight and shares that information with teammates. The drone now runs on batteries rather than a cooldown system, so players can retrieve and redeploy it, and Crypto can activate his EMP Ultimate with a single button press.

Revenant receives shorter cooldowns on his Tactical and Ultimate abilities. His new upgrades can extend his Ultimate with each knockdown, silence enemies after Shadow Pounce, or refresh Shadow Pounce when an enemy is marked.

Lifeline gets a shorter cooldown on her D.O.C. healing drone and can heal herself while gliding. Her upgrades include improved flight mobility, a reduced Ultimate cooldown and the return of her Revive Shield.

New Wingman option and Strongholds

Season 31 also introduces the Akimbo Wingman, adding a burst-fire option to the Wingman revolver. Strongholds arrive as high-risk locations holding crate weapons, corrupted attachments and EVO for the whole squad, but opening one takes time and triggers an alarm.
