Critical Role and Hololive Reveal Shattered Legends Cast
Matt Mercer will run Daggerheart for Marisha Ray and four Hololive VTubers when the six-episode series premieres Nov. 13.
Critical Role and Hololive Production have revealed the cast and story of Shattered Legends, their six-episode actual play miniseries, ahead of its premiere on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET. The show will air on Nerissa Ravencroft's YouTube channel and on Critical Role's Beacon platform, according to Polygon.
Matt Mercer, a Critical Role co-founder, will serve as Game Master. Marisha Ray joins Hololive's Nerissa Ravencroft, Mori Calliope, Shiori Novella and Gigi Murin as players, all using the rules of Daggerheart, the tabletop RPG published by Critical Role's Darrington Press.
The campaign takes place in the Shattered Teeth archipelago in Exandria, on the island of Ubradar and at a location called the Undermaw. Ray plays the tidekin witch Florence; Ravencroft plays the elf rogue Siliul "Sil" Faeli; Calliope plays the infernis bard Kaz Oogod; Novella plays the fungrin druid Marchen "March" Rosemyne; and Murin plays the faerie seraph Giryn.
The Hololive cast members will appear with new virtual avatars designed from their characters' looks. A promotional convention tour across North America, Europe and Asia opens with a panel at Anime Frontier in Fort Worth, Texas, on Dec. 5.
Announced earlier this fall
Shattered Legends was announced in October as an upcoming miniseries pairing Critical Role with members of Hololive Production. Critical Role's own story began with Campaign 1: Vox Machina, which was set on the continent of Tal'dorei.
