Blizzard sets Diablo: Legacy of Terror event for November 13-19

The Diablo 2: Resurrected event runs alongside Ladder Season 16 and is open to both Ladder and Non-Ladder players, with a guaranteed Diablo Clone spawn on Hell.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced the Diablo: Legacy of Terror event for Diablo 2: Resurrected, which will run from November 13 to November 19, 2026. The studio detailed the event in a recent blog post.

The event coincides with the launch of Ladder Season 16 and is open to both Ladder and Non-Ladder players. During the event, slain monsters have a rare chance to be reanimated as Hell Bovine Minions.

On Hell difficulty, the Diablo Clone has a guaranteed spawn once every six hours while the event is live. Players also receive 100% Magic Find and a 15% vendor discount throughout the week.

Terrorized Zones and the Cow Portal see changes as well: after defeating Baal on a given difficulty, Terrorized Zones apply to all zones in that difficulty and can be switched off, and players can enter the Cow Portal in the Rogue Encampment at any time after defeating Baal on any difficulty.

Long-running support

Diablo 2: Resurrected, a remaster of Blizzard's 2000 original, launched on September 23, 2021. Blizzard has continued to update the game, most notably with the Reign of the Warlock DLC, which added a new class for the first time in 25 years. The studio recently published patch notes for Ladder Season 16 that include balance changes for Reign of the Warlock.

At BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard announced Diablo 5 for Spring 2029.
