Emberville Hits Steam Early Access on October 27 at $29.99

Cygnus Cross will launch its pixel-art RPG Emberville into Steam Early Access with a 10% introductory discount, and demo progress carries over.

Cygnus Cross will launch its pixel-art RPG Emberville into Steam Early Access on October 27, 2026, the studio announced. The game is priced at $29.99, with a 10% introductory discount for early buyers, according to screenrant.com.

A free demo is available now, and progress made in it carries into the paid Early Access release. Cygnus Cross has said it plans to add additional biomes, quests and other content throughout the Early Access period.

Emberville opens with the player awakening without memories inside the Vitromotus, described as a large magical prison. From there, the story moves to the ruins of Emberville, where players rescue survivors.

Flexible builds and detailed character creation

The game uses a flexible class system that combines melee, ranged attacks and magic. Combos and skills are bound to weapons and shared across builds, so players are not locked into a single role. Character creation offers dozens of options for hairstyles, beards, facial features and colors.

The reveal arrives alongside a broader field of RPGs drawing on tabletop traditions. In October 2025, Dungeons & Dragons remained a reference point for many video games over the years, including Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate 3, which incorporates the tabletop RPG's fifth-edition rules.
