Dataminer Finds PS4 Build of God of War: Sons of Sparta
A dataminer reported a PS4 content ID for the game, and its PlayStation Store page now carries a PS4 tag. Sony has not announced a port.
A dataminer reported evidence of an unannounced PlayStation 4 version of God of War: Sons of Sparta, according to a November 7, 2026 report by the X account @PlayStationSize. The same day, the game's PlayStation Store page displayed a PS4 tag.
The account posted a PS4 content ID, UP9000-CUSA57767_00-SONSOFSPARTAPS40, alongside the existing PS5 content ID, UP9000-PPSA28997_00-SONSOFSPARTAPS50. The leaked PS4 product ID does not currently resolve to a valid PlayStation Store listing.
Internet Archive snapshots of the store page indicate the PS4 tag appeared sometime in October or November 2026. Sony Interactive Entertainment has not officially announced a PS4 version of the game.
Earlier PS4 port that never shipped
This is not the first time PlayStation Store data has pointed to an unannounced last-generation release. In 2021, evidence of a PS4 version of the Demon's Souls remake was datamined from the store, but that game was never released for PS4.
God of War: Sons of Sparta was shadow-dropped during Sony's State of Play showcase on February 12, 2026, and launched exclusively for the PS5. @PlayStationSize has been datamining the PlayStation Store since 2020.
