Haunted Paws search on Nintendo eShop lists knockoff Ghostly Whiskers
Searching the Nintendo eShop for Haunted Paws returns Ghostly Whiskers, a cat-themed game published by Nostra Games, in the results.
Searching for Haunted Paws on the Nintendo eShop now returns Ghostly Whiskers, a cat-themed game published by Nostra Games, among the results alongside the indie title, according to kotaku.com. The phrase "haunted paws" does not appear in Ghostly Whiskers' own description, yet the game still surfaces in the search.
Ghostly Whiskers follows two cats searching for their owner in a haunted house, a premise similar to Haunted Paws' two-dog setup. Haunted Paws and its demo are now listed on the eShop.
In January, developer Lazy Flock described Ghostly Whiskers as "an unauthorized copy that steals our concept, visuals, and story, using AI-generated assets."
Ghostly Whiskers launched in September, before Haunted Paws, which is due out in May of next year. Nostra Games has released several copycat games lifting from Fallout Shelter, Two Point Hospital and Crossy Road.
