Mana Brigade to bring Plushie Party to Steam

The Swedish indie studio's multiplayer party game pits 2-6 plush toys against each other in deadly arcade minigames.

Mana Brigade announced on October 22 that it will release Plushie Party for Steam. The Swedish indie studio describes the title as a high-intensity multiplayer party game in which battered plush toys fight inside an abandoned arcade.

The game is staged as a merciless underground game show hosted by a mysterious parrot character named Party Party Parrot. Two to six players compete in survival minigames set inside retro arcade cabinets, with collapsing floors and deadly traps.

Plushie Party runs on Gemu Engine, whose destructible physics the studio uses to make damage fully tactile. The announcement lists physics-based plush collisions that rip seams and burst losers into stuffing, more than 15 deadly arcade minigames, and 2-6 player online multiplayer with drop-in play and instant rematches.

There is no concept of second place in the game show: the winner receives full restoration and a new loving home, while the losers are sent to a shredder beneath the arcade hall.

Steam wishlists shape the minigame line-up

According to gamebiz.jp, Steam wishlist goals will unlock new minigames before release and let the community help the developers choose future minigames.
