Mouse Chef: Dig Out gets trailer, 2027 Steam release
Paiband Game Studio showed a new trailer for its first-person prison-escape game, now renamed from Escape by Spoon and expanded with cooking.
Paiband Game Studio has released a trailer for Mouse Chef: Dig Out, a first-person prison-escape adventure headed to Steam on PC in 2027. The trailer was reported by gamespark.jp.
The game was previously announced under the title Escape by Spoon. The studio changed the name and added cooking elements, including a fully working prison kitchen.
In Mouse Chef: Dig Out, players dig a tunnel under their cell with a single spoon, gather resources, upgrade the spoon and keep digging toward freedom. The spoon also serves as a weapon in combat.
Cooking is the second half of the loop: players work as the prison cook, catching ingredients, washing the dirty ones, chopping them and preparing meals. The game blends digging, cooking, combat and exploration.
The setting is a dark, absurd comedy world inspired by 1930s classic cartoons. The Steam store page lists Japanese language support.
From spoon escape to prison kitchen
The project was first announced as Escape by Spoon, a game about escaping prison with a single spoon. The studio said the response was larger than expected, and it decided to expand the game with cooking elements and a functioning prison kitchen, along with the new title.
