Webzen adds 1-on-1 Blood Battlefield mode to MU Monarch 2
The all-server PvP mode opens at a set time each day and mixes roguelike runes and buffs into best-of-five matches.
Webzen announced on October 28 that it has added a new player-versus-player mode called Blood Battlefield to its mobile MMORPG MU Monarch 2, according to game.donga.com.
Blood Battlefield is a 1-on-1 battle mode open to players across all servers, and it can be entered at a set time each day. Rewards include Magic Soldier Fragments, while Conqueror Medals and Conqueror Hearts can be earned based on participation.
The mode adds roguelike elements to its best-of-five matches: players randomly obtain runes with special options each round and can pick up 8 kinds of buffs on the map during combat.
Joyful Festival runs until November 10
Alongside the update, Webzen is running a Joyful Festival event until November 10. It includes bingo quests and collection events, diamond boss and boss revival events, and a 7-day login event.
MU Monarch 2 is a successor in the MU Monarch series, which inherits the gameplay of MU Online. The game is billed as having the fastest character growth system among MU intellectual property titles, with relaxed competitive elements designed to reduce MMORPG fatigue.
