Pit of Goblin Leaves Early Access, Hits Xbox Game Pass at 1.0

The co-op horror adventure also launched on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on November 3, with cross-platform play and Cloud Gaming support.

Pit of Goblin left early access and launched its 1.0 version on November 3, 2026, arriving the same day on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, according to GameRant. The co-op horror adventure is available to Premium- and Ultimate-tier subscribers as well as PC Game Pass users, and it can be streamed through Xbox Cloud Gaming.

The 1.0 update adds two new biomes, The Undergrowth and The Great Library, along with Magic Books that grant magical abilities. The game supports cross-platform multiplayer between console and PC players.

The release is the second addition to Xbox Game Pass in November 2026 and the 165th Game Pass release of the year.

From early access to 1.0

Swedish developer Friendly Foe first released Pit of Goblin in December 2024 as an early access title on Steam, where it has earned a "Very Positive" user rating based on nearly 1,000 player reviews.

In September 2026, the four-person studio said the game had sold more than 200,000 copies during early access. In June 2026, Friendly Foe said it had rewritten "almost all" of Pit of Goblin's code while preparing the 1.0 release and the console ports.
