Rockstar HR Manager Testifies in GTA 6 Tribunal Case
Charlie Kinloch told the Glasgow Tribunals Centre he had little interest in union messages, as 31 former Rockstar employees pursue claims.
Charlie Kinloch, HR manager and co-studio operations director at Rockstar Lincoln, testified at the Glasgow Tribunals Centre in the case of Rockstar Games vs Garland & Others, according to Eurogamer. The tribunal involves claims brought by 31 former Rockstar employees.
Kinloch said he had "little interest" in unionisation conversations between employees that were sent to him by an anonymous employee. He rejected claims that the messages he received identified certain individuals as members of the IWGB union.
In his testimony, Kinloch claimed that the build-up to the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 played a major role in why disparaging statements led to terminations 18 months after they first came to his attention.
He argued that leaks during the increased attention on GTA 6 could cause financial harm to Rockstar Games.
Earlier hearing
In January 2025, an interim relief hearing was held where Kinloch made statements regarding his knowledge of employee union membership. In early 2024, disparaging statements were first brought to Kinloch's attention but did not result in terminations until 18 months later.
