Sam Hulick Releases Re-Scored Mass Effect: Universe Trailer for N7 Day
The composer says BioWare had asked him to score an internal demo before the studio was closed, and no composer had been chosen for the full game.
Composer Sam Hulick released his re-scored version of the Mass Effect: Universe trailer on November 7, 2026, for N7 Day, according to pcgamer.com. Hulick described the re-score as his way of saying goodbye, at least for now.
Hulick said BioWare asked him to score an internal demo for Mass Effect: Universe. That work ended when BioWare was closed, he said.
According to Hulick, BioWare had not begun choosing a composer for the full game. He did not indicate that any such process had started since.
The release follows Hulick's October 2026 statement that he was re-scoring the leaked Mass Effect: Universe trailer. Hulick was co-composer on the original Mass Effect, alongside lead composer Jack Wall, and also worked on the Citadel DLC for Mass Effect 3, which came out in 2013.
