Sam Hulick plans re-scored Mass Effect: Universe trailer for N7 Day
The composer says he wants the re-scored trailer to represent his musical vision for Mass Effect: Universe, but timing is tight.
Composer Sam Hulick says he plans to release a re-scored version of the leaked Mass Effect: Universe trailer for N7 Day, the annual Mass Effect celebration held on November 7, according to gamesradar.com.
Hulick said the timing is tight, as he is also working on a pitch for an unrelated new game. He added that he does not want to rush the re-scored trailer and wants it to represent his musical vision for Mass Effect: Universe.
Hulick scored the original Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. In October 2025, BioWare was abruptly closed, and Mass Effect 5 is now canceled.
A leaked trailer from that period suggested the game would have been titled Mass Effect: Universe, pairing Liara T'Soni with a new human hero in place of Shepard and saying it was "coming soon". Composer Austin Wintory recently released 20 minutes of music he wrote in an unofficial capacity for Mass Effect 5 and said no one had yet been hired to score the sequel.
