ShipCrafter Adds Co-op Mode in October 23 Update
Public and Steam-friends-only lobbies let players build one ship together and run campaign missions as a team.
Myrmecoman and MoreButterGames released an update for ShipCrafter on October 23 that adds a co-op mode to the naval sandbox sim, according to gamespark.jp.
Co-op lobbies can be set to public, open to anyone, or private, restricted to Steam friends. In co-op, players can build the same ship together and take on campaign missions as a group. In Combat, Enemy health and attack power are adjusted according to the number of participating players.
The update also improves Cloud and sea surface rendering in the ray tracing renderer, adds deformation effects for explosions on the Water surface, and changes turret controls.
ShipCrafter is a naval sandbox sim in which players freely place hull, armor, propeller and weapon parts to design original warships and complete various missions.
The game is being developed around a precise physics simulation, including real-time buoyancy based on weight and displacement, atmospheric density changes with pressure and altitude, drag affected by speed, and shell ballistics with penetration calculated from armor thickness, impact angle, ricochet probability, shell speed and mass.
ShipCrafter is distributed on Steam for PC at 920 yen.
