Konami Digital Entertainment and Annapurna Interactive released Patch 1.6.0 for SILENT HILL: Townfall on October 29, 2026, adding a new Hard difficulty and rebalancing every difficulty setting, according to gamespark.jp.
The new Hard difficulty is described as requiring stealth, patience and careful resource management. The patch also reworks the overall difficulty curve, and the reduction of Wait's attack damage is now limited to Story Mode only.
Map and detection behaviour changes accompany the rebalance. Player position is now shown on the map on all difficulties, while enemy detection range is adjusted per difficulty.
Players who pick Nightmare as their first-play difficulty now see a warning before starting. The update also adjusts the lighting colours that indicate valve states, a change aimed at colourblind players.
On PC, the options menu gains DLSS Ray Reconstruction; the setting is not listed for the PlayStation 5 version. SILENT HILL: Townfall is available on PS5 and on Windows via Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG.com.
