Star Trek: Infection adds official standalone Steam Frame support

The update ports the Meta Quest 3 Android build through the Lepton layer and adds cross-progression with Windows PCVR saves.

Star Trek: Infection has received an update that adds official standalone support for Steam Frame, according to gamingonlinux.com. The developer ported the Meta Quest 3 Android APK build to Steam Frame through the Lepton emulation layer.

The update introduces cross-progression between Windows PCVR and standalone Steam Frame saves created after the update. It also adds Steam Frame controller models with button callouts in the pause menu.

On the technical side, the patch fixes controller tracking offsets and button mappings for Steam Frame hardware, and resolves a bug that stopped the game from auto-pausing when the Steam overlay opened. A dialogue bug that played the player monologue during "Reach the Navigational Deflector" twice has also been corrected.

Basic Steam Frame PCVR streaming compatibility is now live as well. With this build, the pause menu opens by holding Left, Right or Up on the left controller for three seconds.

The game was previously built for Meta Quest 3 as an Android APK before being ported to Steam Frame. Its user reviews are currently Mixed, mainly because of bugs.
